Parkinson’s disease psychosis (PDP) is a spectrum of symptoms that includes hallucinations, delusions, and illusions. Around 60% of Parkinson’s Disease patients report experiencing these symptoms, and they can occur at any stage of Parkinson’s disease.
The current treatment strategies for PDP are either not very effective, safe, or convenient for everyday use. The CAN-PDP study is investigating cannabidiol (or CBD) as a safer, more tolerable alternative treatment.
